Welcome to Barrels Farm Poultry. We are based in rural Herefordshire between Hereford and Abergavenny and have been breeding utility Marans and Welsummers for the past 20 years. We have put great effort into selecting stock so that our hens produce eggs with a deep dark shell colour and also lay a reasonable quantity.

At Barrels Farm Poultry we only hatch chicks from the very best eggs that are layed by 2 and 3 year old hens that have proved their ability to lay an egg of a deep brown shell colour and are also capable of keeping the colour throughout the laying season. All our breeding stock is kept in large grass pens and all growing stock is reared in traditional free range conditions.

Hatching eggs - £2
Day old chicks (as hatched) - £5
Growing stock - £5 per pullet plus £1 per week of life
Mature stock cockerels selected from our very best eggs from £30

We suggest that you contact us at Barrels Farm Poultry to book your orders early as only a limited amount of stock is hatched each season.

A deposit of 20% is required for all poultry orders and we will give a 10% discount to members of the Marans or Welsummer club.
